When a group of friends suddenly die during their vacation, they arrive in the waiting room before what comes next. Together, they have to come to terms with their own death and tie up any loose ends in their lives. One by one, they leave through the veil, much to the dismay of Ester, who refuses to pass until she is given some sort of meaning of life. In the end, she takes over the role of waiting room keeper as the cycle begins again
